Heavy Metal Jukebox

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
It's time again for the Heavy Metal Jukebox. I list three songs and you pick which one you prefer. This time it's three tracks off of the same album and that album is Guns and Roses' Appetite for destruction.

So your choices are three of the lesser known tracks on this album and they are:

-It's so easy

-Out ta get me

-Think about you

**So which one do you choose?

You had to pick a tough one, didn't you? I always think of Appetite as the complete package, the great rock album, so it's hard to play along ...

But I will: It's So Easy. It captures that GNR vibe better than the others.

Just to be a contrarian I'll say "Think About You." For all the misogyny, Axl, in his own weird way, was probably one the most romantic writers of the 80's. "I think about you all the time, and my heart says yes." Simple, heartfelt, without the cheese. I recently saw Rose n Roses live in Oakland and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. At the least he has put together a great band of musicians and frontmen. Everybody onstage was putting on a great performance, especially Robin Finck, that man is a freakishly good guitarist with a unique stage presence. I'm not hoping for much from Chinese Democracy, but I won't be shocked if it is pretty good.

The next Heavy Metal Jukebox will be up around the last week of the month. It's been fun thinking up themes so far.

Actually, I want "My Michelle" but for sake of the argument, "It's So fucking Easy..."

Out'ta get me had a kind of franticness and probably a lot of Axl's attitude in it. I guess that's my pick although I like both the other two as well.

"Sometimes it's easy to forget where you're going
Sometimes it's harder to leave
And everytime you think you know just what you're doing
That's when your troubles exceed"

What? Nothing from Chinese Democracy?

I would go with It's So Easy.
